Recently I was a part of an event in Austin called Pixel Pop! basically it was a showing of local artists and their works based around the pop culture theme. many artists & bands were present. I was asked to work on the fashion aspect of the show which was completely something new for me. Clothes designers provided me drawings and photos of their work and I interpreted them in pin up style illustrations. Needless to say this took up quite a bit of my focus in the evenings. as well it seems I have been getting too many requests from people to build websites for them. I am currently wrapping up two.
Pixel pop brought many new experiences for me. working with fashion designers is one aspect but all of a sudden I’m being interviewed on the news & by newspapers. CRAZY! check them out and let me know what you think? watching myself is a bit embarrassing because I can see my Tourettes which I was diagnosed with recently and according to my Wife it’s unfortunate it isn’t the cussing kind then interview’s would be hilarious.
I was asked to work on Pixel Pop 2! and the fashion designers said that it is my turn to do the designs. I was so jazzed, I told the event coordinators the theme I wanted to do…. 60′s super hero chicks with the go-go boots the whole nine yards. They all loved it! AWESOME!!!
