Is the industry all doom and gloom? no way. but you have to be prepared. you never know. I’ve been in 3 layoff’s since I started in the game industry, the first of which I had so many toys and books I was lucky I got to pack it all myself. it took a couple hours to pack….and when you are let go….well you just want to get it over with and go.
Anyway thats the way the game biz is. it has it’s ups and downs. unfortunately things are down for some folks these days. I am pretty lucky to be in a great studio. my prayers are with my brothers from Midway right now. I hope you all bounce back and are working soon and feeding your families.
