This is a song that my 3 yr old sings alot and I get a kick out of hearing it, I sometimes beg her to sing it. if you sit and think about the lyrics it does have quite a bit of meaning behind it. to me it is saying that it is ok to accept who you are, as you are. I think that is a philosophy I will use with this character from now on.

The idea for this strip came from an article I read on Kotaku . Crazy isnt it? What would be amazing is if it actually lead to the capture of a criminal.
I find the dialogue funny in this one because I have been watching all of the episodes of Star Trek the Next Generation. somehow he reads to me like Lt. Data. I just wrapped up the first season and I’m now engaging in making the other seasons so……cough……

I got up early one morning last week to color all of these strips. I had just finished coloring this one when I recieved word that my Brother In-Law had been in a serious car accident due to the roads icing up. to say the least I was upset by this news. Only afterward….had It occurred to me the irony of this picture and his situation.
Good news is he survived. he was bruised battered and suffered minor injury. definately divine intervention…you should have seen the car.
UPDATE:Last night he went back to the hospital. Turns out they didnt spot 2 fractured ribs. one of which punctured one of his lungs and filled it with blood. my prayers are with him.

This is pretty darn close to a real situation in a smart car. I didnt think it was funny at that moment because I was the passenger holding these massive, garbage can sized drinks full to the rim. the dialogue Duk is yelling…. are the actual thoughts that fired through my brain. but I caught myself before I let them out.
here’s what can happen if you are just plain goofy driving one of these bad boys.
Starting today I have a weeks worth of strips! Woot! 6 in fact so check back everyday and on Monday too.
In a personal challenge to myself, I am timing out how long it will take to do strips. You will notice the single tone color for my shading and I did this to cut down on my time. Full color just takes me way too long with the duties of taking care of my family.
The results were quite impressive and I was able to draw and color these strips in a much shorter time than I imagined. And it all had to do with good planning….and by that I am referring to sitting down writing the story and drawing up very basic thumbnails. coming up with ideas has to be the hardest part of making a webcomic….what do I draw? what do I say?
As long as I have somthing I want to write about, I think I might be able to update more frequently.
Anyway I turn 36 this week, and that also means that next week is the 13th anniversary of my professional career in the video game industry. Wow it doesnt feel all that long ago.
